While we're on the topic of email format, can I suggest that messages be
sent to the list in plain (not rich) text?

In particular, users of Outlook Express should be aware that if you send a
message with rich text turned on (and I understand that this is the default
setting), some of us with different email programmes receive a very
weird-looking message, hard to follow because all the paragraph formatting
is lost. This is especially problematic when there is a list of bird names,
etc - this shows up on my machine as either one long string of words with
no gaps between them, or words scattered randomly around the page, and is
very hard to read. Do others have the same problem? I use a popular email
programme (Eudora Light) so I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Please make sure Rich Text is turned OFF before you compose your message if
you want everyone to be able to see it as you intended. What do others
think?

Carol
