Hi all,

I am sure that Aus. is an honest place - much more so than
the UK. - however If you put stickers in cars or pennants attached to
aerials you are certainly advertising that you are a birder. You are also
telling people that you are carrying around a lot of expensive equipment (&
frequently leaving it in the car). This is an open invitation to car thieves
to break in. Fewer & fewer birders in this country put stickers in their
cars nowadays - most of us used to but after break ins it is now considered
unwise especially when you may be going away from the car for several hours.

                                                       Cheers,
                                                        Chris
