At approx 7:45 am on 26/10/2000 I observed 5 Dollarbirds They continued their activities in the area for at least 30 minutes. Bob Inglis Hi Bob,
This is not a one-upmanship message, because I was
astonished recently, when friends Ivan and Joyce Fien came to lunch,
and, as birders do, we were exchanging bird stories. Ivan told the
following:
They live at Beachmere, SEQld.(lat. 27deg.05.7
mins S. long. 153deg. 04.15min. E.)
On 14/10/00 they saw a loose flock of 20 Dollarbirds hawking
around their place.
On 16/10/00 they saw a flock of 15 Dollarbirds doing much the
same at Carseldine, which is in the northern suburbs of
Brisbane.
And, for MIKE TARBURTON, Ivan and Joyce saw their first
NEEDLETAILS at home on 16/10/00, a flock of 12.
Cheers,
Jill
