G,day birders, Aidan Sudbury reported Olive-backed Orioles calling around Mount Waverly for a couple of weeks. I too saw and heard one here at the Rusden campus of Deakin Uni. about three weeks ago. It only stayed here for about 5 minutes. On the same day, a pair of Crimson Rosellas also passed through the gardens. I wouldn't imaging that either species is terribly common in this part of the world, and would expect that they were just passing through to say g,day.
