The kangaroo and Goanna were both on the Pacific Highway (not place you expect to see a lot of wild life) and the others were on dirt roads with speeds in the 70-90 kph. I always slow down when I see birds on the road but its the ones you don't see that fly from the road side grass that usually come to grief.
