Here in Sydney, we had a few reports of Little Bitterns in the Sydney area
during the 1994 drought. The 2 males that turned up at Centennial Park were
very approachable and seemed unnaffected by many noisy picnickers around the
small lilly covered lagoon in the middle of the day on a Sunday, being
anything but secretive!.It was the day I was fortunate to see 2 species of
Bitterns on the same day in Sydney - being Little and Black Bitterns. Has
anybody checked Centennial Park in Sydney for them recently?
