Anonymous banding etc

Hi all

I won't get dragged too far into the banding war today - but I could 
say plenty in support of both cases.  Perhaps it's an almost 
necessary evil?
Anyway, what I really wanted to say was:

I don't really care what name people go by on this mailing list - 
there's nothing to prove who I am, even if I give my name.  It is 
very easy to pretend to be someone else on the Internet - of course, 
it is very hard to completely cover your tracks, too.
However, I would rather people give THEIR name if they are prepared 
to use somebody else's in their message - this seems fair doesn't it?
Now let's talk about birds again, please....
