This is in response to Paul Wahlbridge's announcement of a
(temporary) suspension of the Southport pelagics.

Leith and I couldn't be called regulars on these trips but
we've been on about 6 of them over the past 18 months.
We've seen a lot of new birds and become familiar with some
of the more common ones. We've also realised that pelagic
birding is like no other!

The main point of this message is to thank Paul for all his
efforts in running these trips. It's often a thankless job:
trying to get enough people together, then dealing with the
vagaries of the weather and finally knowing that we only
have a couple of hours on the continental shelf in which to
see the birds.

We do appreciate your efforts - thanks mate.

Pete & Leith
