Hi all, Just a few observations over the last week. I was surprised to find a group of seven Pied Currawongs in a tall gum in my neighbour's back yard in Heidelberg, early morning just as i was going to work. They were being harrassed by Ravens and stayed only briefly. I have never seen so many at once here at home. Yesterday afternoon had a brief walk through Gresswell Forest Reserve, near the old Larundel Hospital, I was pleased to hear then find a male Olive-Backed Oriole, high in the tree canopy-they have a curious call!. Also found amusing a Pied Currawong attacking a Grey Kangaroo,in an unrelenting manner. I am puzzled as to why? Cheers, Mark Kliene.
