It appears that there are a number of areas west of Toowoomba (QLD) where single Grey-crowned Babblers are continuing with nest-building, etc while living a solitary life. This phenomona has been observed by at least six different birders. Has anyone observed this happening elsewhere? Has anyone an explanation as there are a few birders not able to use Birding-aus (luddites?) who would be keen to have me pass on any suggestion?
