Its not New Zealand, but for info on Oriental Plovers in South-east Queensland
you should see:
GYNTHER, I, STEWART, D. & TARRANT, T. 1995 A flock of Oriental
plovers Charadrius veredus in south-east Queensland. Sunbird 25: 93-96.
