Umm - well, I took that photo, and I will admit that (as it is the only Albert's I ever saw) I assumed it to be a male without real proof. The photo was taken on the slope across from O'Reilly's on 28 December 1972. If you are interested I can haul it out and scan it to give you a better idea - it is one of a series I took of a bird that I flushed and which allowed me about 15 minutes of very close observation (lucky me) while it sat motionless. As for the photo, it was replaced by much better ones in later editions.
