Bob Inglis mentioned the price of the new field guide. Last week I went
looking for a copy to buy in Perth. Angus & Robertson said that it wasn't
due to be released in Perth until 1st September and that the price would
be $49.95. I found a copy at Dymocks but the price was $45, and I agreed
with Bob's comment that this was a bit steep and I didn't purchase it.

I saw a copy yesterday. It bore a sticker Angus & Robertson, with a
price tag of $29.95. I guess it was bought in A&R at Caloundra, on
Qld's Sunshine Coast.
I liked the book. I agree that it's a bit cluttered for novices, but
I look forward to buying a copy, and all the notes on the
illustration pages seemed acceptable to me. I didn't get much time to
look at it, and would need another viewing before recommending it.
