Hello Birding-Ausers,
Today, 28/8/2000, the Scarlet Honeyeaters returned to my backyard at Woody Point, SEQ.

Although they are regularly seen in other parts of Redcliffe City (Woody Point is a suburb of Redcliffe City, the site of the first settlement in Queensland, Australia), this is the first time since September 1995 that I have recorded them actually in my own backyard.

In 1995 there was an irruption of Scarlet Honeyeaters in South East Queensland.
I am wondering if the same thing is happening this year.
I am also wondering if there is an irruption of Noisy Friarbirds in the same area.

A wonderful day!
