Just because some of the salt can be extracted and profitably processed
doesn't mean that ALL the salt in the Murray Basin can be so dealt with!
Anything that can be done to prevent the salt from rising from the
remains of prehistoric seas in underlying strata should be done. We
can't possibly profitably market all of it! Get planting trees, (inc.
salt-resistant varieties of River Red Gum)everybody, please.
