I'm sure people don't mean it to sound that way, but saying things like "the Thomas and Thomas site on Chinaman's Creek near Katherine" appears to me to give ownership to a site that has been frequented since long before anyone told Thomas & Thomas about it. And that goes for all of the Top End sites in that book! On a brighter note, I saw to sets of Masked Lapwing chicks and a set of Black-fronted Dotterel chicks in the Darwin area this morning.
