Congratulations to all of those who picked the nondeliberate mistake in
my last post.  Yes, I meant rose robin, not pink robin.

Anyhow, I have noticed a whitish pied butcherbird on a powerline a
couple of times in my neighbourhood.  I know it is a PB because it hangs
about with another pied butcherbird.  It is not totally white, as it has
flecks of black in odd spots.  The effect when first seen sitting on the
powerlines is a bit like a white-tailed tropicbird [sans streamers].

My question is whether this sort of leucoplasm is common in
butcherbirds.
