Greetings, Yes there is a new field guide by Michael Morcombe. It is published by Steve Parish publishing and is very comprehensive, containing far more information than other current field guides. It is has a quick finder for commonly recognised families and is colour coded. It contains 830 species and has 3500 paintings and 800 maps. It also has 600 paintings of eggs and 400 nests. But best of all it covers birds of Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island, Christmas and Cocos Islands, the Torres Straight Islands and Heard Island.
Regards Richard Baxter Newcastle
