Well, as someone who has a collection of a hundred odd crows roosting
within a stone's throw of his bedroom, I can speak from a position of
some authority.

A feature of such a collection of crows is a dawn and dusk cawrus.
There are two phases.

One is when the crows are circling around - like a rather loose vortex.
This is a cawroboree of crows.

The other is when the crows are sitting in their "house".
This is a cawcus of crows.

Finally, since many twitchers [and all taxonomists] are racist ;), I
have come to the conclusion that the crows on my side of the hill are
definitely cawcasian.

Regards, Laurie.
