July 15 2000,
                    Having overnighted nearby and despite offshore winds we
had a good few hours sitting in the sun and scoping from the pillbox down on
Mystic Point. Nothing unusual but for relative novices like us it was great,
the albatrosses coming as close as a couple of hundred meters.
                    Black-browed Albatross    >50
                    Yellow-nosed Albatross     2
                    White-fronted Tern             >15
                     Crested Tern                     >20
                     Fluttering Shearwater         2
                     Kelp Gull  adult                  1
                     Silver Gull                           hundreds,
rafting as far out as we could see
                     Pied Cormorant                  1

                     Australian Kestrel                1
                     Feral Pigeon                         several on cliffs
                     Welcome Swallow               4
                     New Holland Honeyeater     numerous in heath
