Birds Australia has been commissioned by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife service to conduct a baseline study into the distribution of the Glossy Black Cockatoo across NSW.  The study involves acquiring, collating, interrogating and mapping data from a number of sources including the Birds Australia 1st and 2nd Atlas, The Australian Bird Count, NSW Bird Atlassers Inc., and NSW NPWS Wildlife Atlas Database in a series of distribution maps.

I am interested in obtaining any records that a birding organisation and/or individual may have for the species, particularly west of the divide/western slopes.   Also, any information on the movements of Glossy Black Cockatoos, changes in abundance and distribution of GBC's, nesting and roosting sites, and habitat trees on a local scale would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter
