Hello Penny,
My point was that he wasn't trying to breed them for the
purpose of making money. Plainly he had other birds that covered that
angle of his hobby. Of course if he bred the Diamonds successfully he would
eventually have to sell the offspring, unless he released them off course-
possibly a futile and fatal action anyway.
Things aren't always black and white, and this includes the
whole aviculture, illegal/ legal trapping argument.
