Hello Allan and others,

Re- Beautiful Firetails ("BF"). According to the Australian Museum Specimen Database they have about 10 "BF" specimens that were collected at Wyee on the southern end of Lake Macquarie sometime around 1920. I remember that the same collector also collected something like 20-30 Regent Honeyeaters, also at Wyee. I always meant to check the actual specimens while I was working on the Lake Macquarie Fauna Database for Lake Macquarie City Council in 1997 but I never did.

Cheers,

Mick Todd
