I've seen Beautiful Firetail as follows: 21/2/93 Near Frenchman's Cap, Tasmania 2 adults 24/2/93 Anniversary Bay walk, Rocky Cape National Park, Tasmania 2 birds in heath - fantastic close clear views 25/2/93 Road to Mawbanna, Tasmania 1 flew in front of my car, showing its brilliant red rump 20/2/99 Budderoo National Park (Southern Highlands sw of Sydney, NSW) 1 adult and 1 immature 21/2/99 Fitzroy Falls (Southern Highlands) 1 with stripes on breast, but breast also quite buff In 18 visits to Capertee Valley in months February, March, August and November, I never saw it Irene Denton Concord West, 12 km from Sydney city, NSW, Australia 33 50' 17" S 151 05' 25" E <<attachment: winmail.dat>> |
