G'day all

Carol Proberts when describing just a pair of wings of an Owlet-Nightjar that
were found in the Blue Mountains area, and asked the question, what predator
would leave behind just a pair of wings?

Allan Morris suggested Peregrine Falcon and that is certainly a possibility.
However, I know that Barn Owls also neatly snip off wings before consuming a
bird. Presumably, other owls might do likewise. Most of the forest owls eat the
occasional bird and given that owlet-nightjars are also mostly nocturnal this
possibility seems quite likely.
