I think it must be local. We have Laughing Kooks around our house in
Moorooka ( southern suburb of Brisbane) and on Saturday at Brisbane
Forest Park I saw 7 in one tree. Perhaps they were discussing the
very same thing!
Later in the year I'll start to analyse a garden bird survey which has
just ended and that might provide some data on the situation.
