Hello Robert,

With John Harris I did see what we decided was a SIPO at Manly Boat
Harbour (20th December 1999). Everything about it was 'a bit'. It was
a bit smaller, its bill was a bit longer- definetly the longest in the
flock, its legs were a bit shorter- its knees seemed to just clear its
belly, and it held its body a bit more horizontal while walking. It did
not vary this pattern of 'different' walking movement and the birds did
move about somewhat. It was always a bit different. This bird was with
a flock of about 20 OZPO's and, as the flock milled about and relative
positions changed, I felt it kept itself to the outer edge of the main
bunch. Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ros Laundon.
