Yes i just got zapped and very shocking it was too
(if anyone thought i was ignoring their message that's why)

masses of stuff just vanished or got corrupted. all programs had to be reloaded. i have probably lost some email as the back up arrangement I thought i had made didn't work; I lost my email address book

after it was all over i added a different virus checker which found a virus on one of those little business cards that come unwanted attached to people's emails. of course that need not have been the one which did the damage but..... It had actually been there unnoticed for quite a long time but apparently that is what some of them do - i am told there is one that lurks silently until Christmas day when it gives you a lovely surprise gift

Hi All,
In view of all the World-wide problems in the last few weeks with
viruses could people take more care with e:mails. Today I downloaded my mail
& there was one with an attachment & two with the forward abbreviation on
the heading. As the latter virus is known to mutate there is no way of
knowing if it is safe or not. Much as I would like to read the mail - I
immediately deleted them. Russell, isn't there some way of filtering them
out? NO ATTACHMENTS & NO FORWARDING - PLEASE.
