Friends of ours, Howard and Dita Peterson, are pretty sure they've seen a party of Plum-headed Finches over the last few days at Lota, a bayside suburb of Brisbane. They're still striving for a better look, but it was Howard and Dita who first turned up the Plum-heads when they returned to Abberton earlier this year, and they're feeling pretty confident. They have asked if there are many records of Plumheads as far east as the coast, and whether anyone has seen them in the Brisbane area recently. We'd value any observations on this.
