"After waiting with bated breath and checking the glossaries of all my bird books, I still don't know what SIPO's are! Help!" How short people memories are. Some time ago there was a rather long thread about protocols for using abbreviations (and other things such as place names) on this list. This seems to have fallen by the wayside again and people new to the list just have no idea what some postings are about. Lets stick to good old REN's (Recommended English Names).
