G'day All,

The past few month's have seen me making up some nest
boxes, of various sizes, for various birds and
mammals, I can now say I have one of each (25 in all)
of the nest boxes as listed in the Gould League "The
Nestbox Book" and what a fine book this is and I thank
you Hugo for the recommendation, brilliant.

Okay, so what do I wish to do with them all? quite
simply give them away as prizes for anyone that enters
the next round of competitions. Well the nights are
getting longer and more time to spend on working out
some of the questions, Hilary and I have thought up.

With me going a little batty as of late? I thought
that should be the theme of this month's competition
and prize? page 44 and 45 in the book shows what I
mean? giggle ....

This month's question is this, and please you need to
get all 4 parts of the question correct to be the
winner?

Here in very Southern Victoria I am blessed with a
very small bat, what is it's true name?

About how many Bat species do we have in Australia?

Where would you find most of each species? which state
has the most species?

Why are they so important to the environment.

Sorry but one winner only to each competition.

John A. Gamblin.
