Dear Comrades, After a fair amount of searching over the last four days, and talking to a few others who have also been on the lookout, it seems likely that the Powerful Owl is no longer in the Fitzroy Gardens (or, if it is, I have no idea where). I last saw it on the afternoon of Friday 14/4/00. My only comment since my last posting is that I suspect that it was a female because the head seemed narrow (see HANZAB4: 818). Apologies to those who have been wondering about its whereabouts in the last few days - it was one of those situations of not really knowing how much searching over how many days was required before concluding that it was probably gone. Happy Easter, Paul Peake. To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
