Assuming you're still down at Hastings or wherever, a Song Thrush is not
impossible at all. By now I think all the young Blackbirds are into
adult dress and not confusingly spotty (not that a real birdwatcher
should confuse Blackbird and Songthrush in any case <g>).
When I was last in Brisbane a friend cried 'Here's an English Thrush!'
in tones of great surprise, which would have been justified if the bird
in question hadn't been a young or female Figbird.
