Hi

First I would like to thank everyone that responded to my request concerning good sites for waders around Melbourne. I got the impression that Werribee Treatment Plant was hot spot no. 1, so I went there last Friday. It was a _lot_ bigger than I thought, and going there on a bicycle was to be a pain in the but - literally speaking! Anyway, it was a fantastic place, with many new speices for me. But I didn't encounter all the waders I was hoping for, perhaps it's a little late in the season or I may have missed som good spots? I concentated my effort around Lake Borrie, and I found most of the waders at the mouth of Little River. Very few was found inland apart from some around a lagoon just north og LB. Here is a list of some of the birds I saw:

Pied Oystercatcher 1
White-headed Stilt 200 +
Red-capped Plover 6
Masked Lapwing 50 +
Curlew Sandpiper 300 +
Red-necked Stint 1000 +

Great Crested-Tern or Crested Tern 8
White-winged Black Tern ca. 250
