Hi John, Are you sure they were Hooded Plover? I would be interested to know as it is not the normal habitat for Hooded Plover. Our Hooded Plovers here on the Southern Peninsula(Vic) have had a successful breeding season with 12 fledged and a possible total of 14 fledged young. A good result.
