I am trying to hire a car in New Mexico without paying exorbitant insurance, especially personal liability (ca $AU 100/week).
Can anyone recommend a rental firm that has reasonable rates (e.g. Avis charges $AU 475/week all inclusive for 1.6 litre 4 door) ??
Alternatively, does any travel insurance cover you for such liability ??  Those seen so far exclude use of vehicles.
