Like Michael Norris, I too have noticed a decline in the number of Silvereyes here on the southern Mornington Peninsula(Vic). The decline in numbers here have coincided with the burgeoning viniculture industry on the Mornington Peninsula. My observations are purely anecdotal but nevertheless of great concern to me. Every spare plot of land on the Mornington Peninsula has been given over to grapes, we are in danger of becoming a monoculture. Silvereyes naturally see grapes as an easy food resource and are paying the price.
