I am trying to find out if Red-eared Firetails feed their young on insects as a matter of course.  I am aware that R-e F's do partake of the odd insect or two to suppliment their diets.  Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

PS  I am awaiting some photos of the mystery nest that I asked about a few weeks ago so I may have an answer before too long.
