Hi all, I guess most birders have a species which they, at least for a while, regard as their "jinx bird", ie you can never find it. Well, for some years now mine has been the Ruff, but today's the day. Whilst participating in a wader count at Penrice Saltfields, just north of Adelaide, this morning, one was found. Excellente and Halleh-gorblimey.
