Here is a little poser for you.  I have been made aware of a nest collected in country SE Q'ld about 50 years ago. It is about 80mm in diameter, very neat and made of grass and hair and lined with wool-like material.  It is about 30 mm deep and was described as looking somewhat like a large donut.  Here is the interesting bit.  It also has a hinged lid about 60mm in diameter connected for about one quarter of its circumference. Any ideas?
