Another tuppence-worth..
Hal's point about putting our money where our mouths are is so obvious
it might sometimes get overlooked and is worth emphasising. At the very
least, when asking for help in a retail outlet, one should buy a cool
drink, packet of biscuits, petrol or whatever.
