Four Sydney birders saw three white-throated Nightjars in the northern Sydney suburb of Berowra Heights tonight at 8.30pm. We were at the very end of Turner Road at the intersection with Coreen Close. We walked over a fire-trail gate and along 150 - 200 metres and then 15 metres to the left to the rock ledge overlooking the valley. At dusk one bird called and when we played a tape 3 birds circled us giving us excellent views. One of the group, Roger McGovern celebrated his 650th Aussie bird. Good birding everyone Trevor & Annie Quested Sydney, Australia To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
