Hi All Birdwatchers visiting the Port Douglas/Daintree/Julatten area of North Queensland may be interested to know that there have been regular sightings of Red-rumped Swallows. They have been seen on powerlines at the beginning of the Mount Molloy Road near the T intersection of the coast road between Daintree and Port Douglas just to the south of Mossman. There is another road to Newell Beach, north of Mossman, where Barn Swallows are regularly seen at this time of the year near the water tower.
