From: "Rachelle Levingston" <> To: Subject: birding-aus Kookaburras etc Date: Fri, 07 Jan 2000 00:00:53 PST *Large increase in the Kookaburra population, around Walcha NSW, lately.Dec-Jan Boronia Vic. my group of 6 kookaburras raised 3young this season, having 9 ks. in the one tree is quite a sight. although I have not seen all 9 together since shorty after fleging of the 3 juvs. But I have seen the 3 juvs together. The adults seam to split up and feed alone. Then call a juv over when they have some food to spare. this makes it hard to count my group now. How are you counting your ks. chees tim ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
