Hi everybody -
I am passing on a message circulated among BA staff regarding an article
planned for the next Wingspan (BA quarterly magazine) to challenge your
lateral thinking capabilities:
-------------------------------------------
You may remember a while ago I sent an e-mail asking for suggestions for
things you can do to help Aust native birds.
The article is now due and I am again begging for some good suggestions, we
are after interesting, specific examples so put on your lateral thinking
caps and just come up with one or two.
eg
1) When you come across large road kill such as a kangaroo, move it off to
the side of the road so birds of prey are not in danger of being hit by
traffic (without becoming roadkill yourself)
2) Plant prickly bushes in your garden to provide nesting havens for small
birds and protection from domestic pets
we want to avoid general stuff like
1) Recycle office paper
2) Buy organically grown veges
and I already have the stuff like
1) Donate to a BA research project that suits your area of interest
2) Become a member
well and truly covered.
These suggestions are needed urgently to get the piece together for the
March edition of Wingspan (early)
--------------------------------------------------------
If anybody can come up with a good new idea (we have probably covered all
the obvious ones), please send them to me ASAP and I will pass them on.
Cheers
Hugo
