Another piece in the jigsaw re the arrival of Fork-tailed Swifts on the east coast. A Californian birder, Chris Durniak, who was here the other day mentioned that he had seen a party of fifty to sixty Fork-tailed Swifts hawking around Coolum for most of the morning of December 31st, 1999.
