Dear Birding-Ausers, While not included in my highlights of the year, century or millennium (for which I will need more considered time to prepare), a Common Koel over breakfast this morning in Ascot Vale, Melbourne was a pleasing event and definitely a "day" highlight. Calling occasionally from a Norfolk Island pine, the male Koel was being harassed by a Willie Wagtail. I had to leave them to it and go to work. It was nice to put it on my yard list.
