Is there anyone who has not seen a SIPO yet? News is in that there are now 4 South Island Pied Oystercatchers (affectionately known as SIPO's) just South of Ballina, NSW and also an unconfirmed report of another bird at Manly boat harbour in SE Queensland. May I suggest that if you have any Pied Oystercatchers in your area you have a very close look at them - you never know! The locals near Ballina are now waiting for them to start breeding.
