Hi all, The White-throated Needletails and Fork-tailed Swifts Phil Gregory mentioned near Mossman (north of Cairns 60k) on the 18th made it to Cairns yesterday 19th. The ones seen were 30+ Needletails and 1 fork-tail. 2 Grey Plover have been on the Cairns Esplanade for the last 4 days and the surprise Great Bowerbird which turned up at Redden Island, north of Cairns Airport at Machans Beach, last week was still present on the 19th Nov. 4 Great-billed Heron were seen 3rd Nov perched on the Cairns airport footbridge over the Barron River roosting at night. Cheers Keith & Lindsay Fisher PO Box 2209, Cairns QLD 4870 (Far North Queensland, just below the pointy bit on the east coast of Australia.)
