In a similar fashion last year a Banded Rail took up
residence outside the Ansett building in the city of
Melbourne - I was lucky enough to see it a few times.
(I even showed my Mum - uhh - how sentimental can you be!
Her comment: "it's not as interesting as the Weka!").
Apparently the Ansett staff got very attached and even gave
it a name - "Raily". Has anybody heard about what happened
to this bird? Is it still there?
